Santos Doll Love

They finally arrived today!
 I am so excited!

A couple of years ago I saw a Santos (reproduction) doll for the first time. It was instant love. I have thought about them a lot in the last two years, and have been entranced by their style and history. The longer I have the shop, the better connections I am making. And acquiring these beauties was a dream come true!

These are reproduction Santos dolls that I bought for the shop. Unfortunately due to my work schedule (at my big girl job)  I will not be able to get them to the shop until next week. But in the meantime I can swoon as they stand proudly next to my mantel.

Original Santos dolls run thousands of dollars, if you are able to find one. Believe me, finding reproductions that were well done, was not easy either. I was on a website that featured an original Santos crown, just the crown $500+. It was truly gorgeous but so far out of my budget right now.

For all those who have indulged my insistent chatter about these amazing dolls, hopefully the pictures will show you the beauty I see in them :0)

Have a Wonderful Day!
~Sherrie

  5. Very pretty dolls Sherrie!

Thank you for your kind words on my weight loss and new hair cut. It was hard work but worth it. I'm feeling very grateful to have my health back.

    Blessings to you sweet friend.

Sherrie, the Cherry Girl was made by Dept 56. - a line called "Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries". I got her in 1998 but maybe some will show up on ebay :)

  10. These are stunningly beautiful! Santos dolls are not something we get to see in Canada, but I love to peek at them when we travel down to the States.

I want to thank you for letting me know about my napkin doll. No Kreiss name on the bottom,as it turns out, but I love her anyway, especially now that I've seen how striking yours is in your banner. Now I'll have to keep and eye out for more..my newest collection!
